Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.
Kind of a sad post today. My most treasured item I lost a while ago. It's probably been 2 years or so. It was a blue paua shell necklace shaped in a heart like the one above, but mine was silver and not gold. My boyfriend got it for me when he went on vacation with his family.
I wore it just about every day for a long time. Then I put it on a ribbon for a bracelet and wore it like that for a while. Until we went to our church for an event one night and when we got on the metro later I looked down and it was gone. The doors on the train were about to close and I almost jumped out to go look for it, but Boyfriend grabbed me.
Boyfriend's friend was with us so I couldn't exactly cry in front of them, but I wanted to. I was completely broken hearted about it.
It meant so much to me because Boyfriend and I were still fairly new in our relationship and he had told me at one point that he would never buy a girlfriend jewelry until he bought the ring.
Well, when he came back from his trip and had this as a surprise, I knew he was going to marry me one day.
He's gotten me three beautiful necklaces since then, but I'll always remember the first one.
It was going to be my something blue, I guess I'll have to find a new one.
